This is a list of qualities that coaches are looking for when a player shows up for Tryouts. Take note for these are things that will help the player present himself in the best possible light.

Show leadership qualities. 
  • Always be first class in the way you dress, talk, warm-up, and play during the game.                                                                                                        
  • Be composed at all times. Carry yourself with confidence.
  • Show your general athletic ability, including running speed, technical speed, and your tactical speed of thought.       
  • Show your intelligence by making simple yet good decisions on and off the ball.
  • Show a variety of ways to get out of situations on the field.
  • Play with your head up in order to see the whole field.
  • Check to and demand the ball.
  • Switch the field of play via the long diagonal pass when appropriate.
  • Make simple passes at the correct time and with the proper speed.
  • Play one and two touch when necessary.
  • Emphasize your ability to play without the ball by making the proper runs into space.
  • When you tackle, tackle hard!
  • Take the ball out of the air quickly.
  • Win every head ball.
